UPDATE Regarding Industrial Strike Action

Dear Parents and Carers,

As previously advised, the National Education Union (NEU) have declared strike action, which will take place on the following dates:

Wednesday 1st February

Wednesday 1st March

Wednesday 15th March

Thursday 16th March

The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over pay, and not because of any issues at our nursery school.

We currently do not anticipate that Allens Croft Nursery School will be affected by the strike action however, this may change as staff are not compelled to tell us if they intend to strike. It could also be the case that some of our staff team are unable to come to work due to strike action at their children’s school/s. We will not know this until the morning of each strike day. Please ensure we always have your latest mobile telephone number for us to update you via text message. Wherever possible, we will try to accommodate vulnerable children and those of working families on these days, subject to the number of staff available to us.

We are sorry for the potential disruption to you and your child’s education, but it is imperative that we maintain safely, adhering to the statutory adult-to-child ratios required. Allens Croft Nursery School remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our children.

We appreciate your understanding and support.

Yours faithfully
